This will be updated and reposted, as and when I stumble upon (and fall over) particularly exciting specimens of the German language

Today (15 November 2012) I learnt the longest (yet) word of German I know:

 

Dienstleistungsunternehmen: a service company

Note 1: In English (haha, watch out for foreign influence…) ein Unternehmer means an entrepreneur. Also, watch out for false friends: it does not mean undertaker.

Note 2: my teacher said one can make much longer ones by him/her-self.
