Directed by Paul Greengrass and starring Tom Hanks, “Captain Phillips” is a new film about the Somali pirate attack on US-flagged cargo ship Maersk Alabama in 2009. The captain, Richard Phillips, was taken hostage during the hijacking. You can read a detailed 12-page story here or the wikipedia article about the hijacking here.

The film should be released in October (2013). It is based on reports by the captain and crew, so it should be pretty close to what actually happened. I would like to see it, though I’m not sure I’ll be able to bear it.
