Keeping warm in Germany

This is a very short and boring household-related post. But if you’ve just moved in somewhere in Germany and your flat is freezing, you might find this useful. I found it after a hour-long internet search for affordable places where one can buy duvets and woolen blankets. I ended up buying a duvet from IKEA (they sell slightly cheaper real quill duvets than all other household shops), but if you want a proper warm woolen blanket, Bulgarian ones are a lovely alternative to English, Scottish or Swedish (or “Nordic“) blankets. That is, if you can’t wait until the Sunday Flohmarkt. I once bought a wonderful little red woolen plaid for 1 Euro in Mauerpark which I then had to fly home in my handluggage.
